Championing Inclusion. Driving Change. Delivering Impact.

Hello – I am Kay Ashton MBE; a disabled, AuDHD with Dyslexia, solo parent by choice! I help organisations strengthen disability inclusion, and I coach the people who hold everything together; staff network chairs, solo parents, and leaders who care.
I’ve spent years supporting people who are doing the emotional heavy lifting in their organisations. I know how isolating it can feel to lead a staff network, advocate for inclusion, or juggle work as a solo parent. You don’t have to do it alone.
I’m driven by a deep commitment to create environments where disabled people can truly thrive. Because of this, disability inclusion has been the heartbeat of my career. It therefore shapes everything I do. I advocate for meaningful change, and I design practical, long‑lasting solutions that genuinely improve working lives.
As a former Creative Diversity Partner and Disability Lead at the BBC, I bring over a decade of experience transforming organisations, cultures, and creative spaces. During this time, I shaped strategy and advised senior leaders. I also supported hundreds of colleagues and creators across the organisation. As a result, my work focused on removing barriers, improving accessibility, and championing authentic representation both on‑screen and behind the scenes.
I have been on a journey which I want to share, I want to help others going through similar things especially if they are deciding if solo parenting is for them and/or disabled parents. Disability is one camp anyone can enter at any point in life. I want to help you thrive as a parent.
Ultimately, at the core of my career is one fundamental belief: inclusion isn’t an add‑on. Instead, it is a catalyst for creativity, innovation, and world‑class storytelling
